The Bible Way to Heaven

The Bible Way to Heaven

If you died today, are you 100% sure Heaven will be your home?

You can be if you will…

1. Realize and acknowledge: “For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God.” Romans 3:23

Yes, you too have fallen short of Heaven because of your sin. You may be better than many others, but compared to Jesus “there is none that doeth good,” Romans 3:12.

2. Realize and acknowledge: “For the wages of sin is death…” Romans 6:23a

There are two kinds of death, physical and spiritual. One we inherited from Adam and the other we earn for ourselves. Adam’s sin brought physical death to all. But, because of our sin, we must die a second death eternally in Hell, unless we find a way to pay for our sin and thereby remove its penalty of “fire and brimstone, which is the second death,” Revelation 21:8

3. Realize and acknowledge: “Christ died for our sins.” I Corinthians 15:3

Jesus paid the entire price for you by his death on the cross. A holy and just God set the price on sin, and then in love, paid it Himself in the person of Christ.

4. Realize and acknowledge: “…the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.” Romans 6:23b

He bought it. He owns it. He freely gives it. We are not saved by believing a story about a has-been. Christ is alive today! “…knowing that Christ being raised from the dead dieth no more, death hath no more dominion over him.” Romans 6:9

He has power and victory over death and sin and offers the same to you as a gift, not a reward.

5. Realize and acknowledge: “For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.” Romans 10:13

This is a promise. Whosoever means you. Not…whosoever is a church member, or is baptized, or is confirmed, or takes communion, or does the best he can, but whosoever shall call believing on Jesus.

Here is how you can be 100% sure Heaven will be your home.

6. Confess and ask:

Trust Christ alone to be your Savior, claim His promise of Eternal Life and ask Him to save you. Let us help you with this decision, you can pray the prayer below to guide you if you are unsure what to say. But we must remember, yes we must ask (love never forces), but asking and believing in our heart is what saves a sinner, not just a “prayer”. Accept Christ’s gift today by asking God for it in the way of a simple prayer, while believing in your heart, like the one below.

Lord Jesus, I believe you died, were buried, and rose again to pay for my sins. Be merciful to me, a sinner, and save me from Hell. Thank you, Lord, for saving me today.

If you have just prayed this prayer and meant it in your heart, we would love to hear from you. Please contact us at sbc@shastabaptistchurch.com so that we can rejoice with you over this wonderful decision.
